Vice President Qiu Zhaoxian led a team to Canada to conduct economic and trade exchanges


From May 25 to 29, CCPIT Guangdong vice president QIU Zhaoxian led a working group to visit Vancouver and Toronto, Canada, and carried out a series of fruitful economic and trade exchange activities.

On the afternoon of May 28, hosted by CCPIT Guangdong and organized by Guangdong Economic and Trade Representative Office in Canada(Vancouver), the Guangdong Investment and Business Environment Promotion Forum was held in Vancouver, Canada. CCPIT Guangdong vice president QIU Zhaoxian, Commercial Counselor of the China Consulate General in Vancouver YU Shanjun attended the event and delivered a speech. Deputy Minister of the Overseas Economic and Trade Representative Offices Affairs GUO Rui introduced the investment business environment in Guangdong, the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay, Guangdong Free Trade Zone and the 3rd China(Guangzhou) International Cross-border E-commerce & Goods Expo. President of Zhaoqing Returned Overseas Chinese Federation HUANG Zhijian introduced the investment environment of Zhaoqing. Chairman of Huafeng Pharmaceutical Group CHEN Yuzhao shared the experience in investing in Guangdong. More than 80 representatives of China and Canada business representatives attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by chief representative of  Guangdong Economic and Trade Representative Office in Canada(Vancouver) LIN Yanqiu.

During the visit, the working group held a symposium of Guangdong enterprises in Toronto and Vancouver respectively. Representatives of enterprises such as Huawei, China Southern Airlines who went abroad participate in the seminar and exchanged the basic situation of Canada’s overseas investment and the problems encountered.

The working group also exchanged views with the Department of Employment and Trade Science and Technology of British Columbia , the Canada-China Business Council and other institutions, exchanging views on strengthening cooperation between the business community in Guangdong and Canada to promote the trade and investment facilitation etc. The working group was invited to attended The 9th Conference of the World Guangdong Community Federation and The 3rd World Congress of Guangdong Overseas Chinese Youth, and had friendly exchanges with representatives of overseas Cantonese businessmen attending the event.
